Driver version 516.40 for Nvidia GTX 1650TI causes **major** shader glitches in the latest version of Alchemy Next!
## Steps to reproduce
(How one can reproduce the issue - this is very important)
1. Install the latest graphics driver for the aforementioned graphics card
2. run alchemy with shadows+projectors enabled
3. experience the ultimate eyesore
## What is the current bug behavior?
screen bugs out with shadow-lines and textures that rely on water reflections e.g. (ZAF bits, HP Foxcat Eye Highlights) reject their assigned textures
## What is the expected correct behavior?
shaders are expected to provide shade where shade is expected to be, and water reflections don't reject textures

I like to derender ugly objects. Sometimes it's because I am living some place and a neighbor rezzed something that is really ugly and hurts my eyes or does not blend in with the environment at all. Other times, I want to take a nice snapshot and post it to my Profile Feed but there is a lot of objects that take away from the beauty and immersion. For example, I took a screenshot of me standing in front of a crashed plane in a forest the other day. But before I took the picture, I derendered a bunch of green arrows on the ground because, well, in real life you wouldn't see half a dozen large green arrows painted on a dirt path like that.
If there is a way to manually add objects to a derender list, please let me know. I could use that as a workaround.
After giving it some thought, I hope that the ability to derender objects will be given the most priority of all feature requests because it is very important when taking pictures.https://git.alchemyviewer.org/alchemy-archive/alchemy/-/issues/139[Feature Request] Please add the toolbar buttons for Area Search and Phototoo...2022-03-13T22:29:06-04:00SonofaNoob[Feature Request] Please add the toolbar buttons for Area Search and Phototools Camera.I'm currently using Alchemy Project AgileAkita 6.5.3.1468 (64bit).

I use Area Search a lot. I mean regularly, throughout the day, every single day. And Phototools Camera is very convenient because I can adjust my camera view, save that camera angle and position, cam around the area and then immediately restore that previously saved camera angle and location. Just the other day, I spent 5-10 minutes getting my camera position perfect and I posted a snapshot on my Profile Feed, but I had forgot to include the location. So a day later, I went back to that sim and just instantly loaded the saved camera position and retook the picture. It saved me a lot of time, and I was able to get the exact view that I wanted and not just something similar or close to it. These are the only two toolbar buttons that I miss that I hope will get added soon.https://git.alchemyviewer.org/alchemy-archive/alchemy/-/issues/138[Feature Request] I would like Alchemy to always remember my custom sky preset.2022-03-13T22:28:56-04:00SonofaNoob[Feature Request] I would like Alchemy to always remember my custom sky preset.I'm currently using Alchemy Project AgileAkita 6.5.3.1468 (64bit).

My favorite sky preset is 80's Wave, which you can find in your Library > Environments folder in your Inventory. On every restart, I have to manually click the My Environments toolbar button, type 80's wave in the search bar, right click 80's wave, and select 'Apply Only to Myself'. It would be so awesome if I didn't have to do that each time because to me all the other default and custom sky presets look awful and I hate looking at awful environments, even if it is only for a few seconds. And also, it takes three or four steps to restore my desired environment each time and I have to do on every login.https://git.alchemyviewer.org/alchemy-archive/alchemy/-/issues/144[Feedback] The Toolbar button formats "Icons only" and "Small icons only" are...2022-03-11T20:08:10-05:00SonofaNoob[Feedback] The Toolbar button formats "Icons only" and "Small icons only" are both too large.I'm currently using Alchemy Project AgileAkita 6.5.3.1468 (64bit).

I selected the "Small icons only" format right after I installed Alchemy for the first time, and the buttons were still too large and made the viewer look very clunky and slightly noobish looking.
Just now, I found a good workaround. If I select "Icons and Labels", it is around 4/5 the height of the "Small icons only" buttons and it looks much nicer. I never needed or wanted to see text, but since I don't have a lot of buttons on the toolbar right now, this is a really good workaround.
I just wanted to submit my feedback that the "Small icons only" buttons should be designed to be identical in height as the "Icons and labels" buttons. I think that it would look much nicer.https://git.alchemyviewer.org/alchemy-archive/alchemy/-/issues/143[Feature Request] Could you add the Building Tools option to disable "Show Hi...2022-03-11T15:43:54-05:00SonofaNoob[Feature Request] Could you add the Building Tools option to disable "Show Highlight".I'm currently using Alchemy Project AgileAkita 6.5.3.1468 (64bit).

I often uncheck the "Show Highlight" box when editing objects to remove the highlight, and I do this around 25% of the time. It makes building much more enjoyable when I can remove the distracting edge glows on a mesh or prim object, but also be able to have the highlights visible when I am doing other things like positioning the objects. I was genuinely surprised when I did not see this option available in the Building Tools, because I am so used to using it.https://git.alchemyviewer.org/alchemy-archive/alchemy/-/issues/141[Bug] If you accept a friend request from someone who is not using Alchemy, n...2022-03-11T01:42:57-05:00SonofaNoob[Bug] If you accept a friend request from someone who is not using Alchemy, nothing happens.I'm currently using Alchemy Project AgileAkita 6.5.3.1468 (64bit).

I don't know if this was reported yet or not. But it was tested and confirmed by Unexpectedly Dismantled.
Yesterday, I received a friend request from someone not using Alchemy. And both times I pressed the Accept button. She asked me "did you accept it yet?" I looked on my Friends list and she had not been added. I then opened up her profile in my Alchemy viewer and sent her a friend request. She accepted and it went through. So receiving from other viewers does not work, but sending a friend request from an Alchemy viewer does.
Unexpectedly Dismantled ran some tests. When he tried a different viewer and sent me two friend requests, I clicked the Accept button both times, but it did not work either time.
I don't know if it affects two people using different versions of Alchemy. But it definitely affects a person using Alchemy Project AgileAkita 6.5.3.1468 (64bit) if they are receiving a friend request from someone that is not using an Alchemy viewer.https://git.alchemyviewer.org/alchemy-archive/alchemy/-/issues/140[Bug] (Low Priority) Alchemy never remembers my Inventory filter 'Always show...2022-03-10T22:31:58-05:00SonofaNoob[Bug] (Low Priority) Alchemy never remembers my Inventory filter 'Always show folders'.I'm currently using Alchemy Project AgileAkita 6.5.3.1468 (64bit).

I like having my empty System Folders displayed. I found out yesterday that I can display them by going to Inventory settings, selecting Show Filters, and then enabling 'Always show folders'. But on every relog, it will be disabled again. If all inventory filters are intended to be temporary, then I think that the 'Always show folders' option should be completely removed from the Show Filters window and relocated to the Inventory settings (gear icon) pop-up menu instead. Other viewers have a "Hide empty system folders from inventory" in their Preferences window, but I think that it would actually be better to have this option in the Inventory settings instead.https://git.alchemyviewer.org/alchemy-archive/alchemy/-/issues/135Recent Alchemy Algile Akita is performing rather poorly on region crossings.2022-02-24T19:05:36-05:00Bellimora ResidentRecent Alchemy Algile Akita is performing rather poorly on region crossings.## Summary

I was doing a large vehicle trip with some friends. Myself and all my friends kept crossing region borders cleanly and smoothly.
One friend kept lagging on crossings and falling out of the vehicle and on region crossings for as long as they were in the vehicle they kept triggering changed(CHANGED_LINK) on every region crossing which was making my car do annoying things.
I was on AgileAkita build 1401.
They were on Agile Akita build 1451.
My friends were on firestorm.
Later then were doing some exploring on car and were complaining to me that the car kept asking for controls on each region crossing. I told them to try a different viewer, they tried black dragon. Problem went away and they were crossing much smoothly.
I installed Agile Akita 1454 and tried driving in a car and region crossings got rough and my car finally asked me for permission to take controls (even though I was already sitting in it).
Agile Akita 145x is absolute shite if you are trying to use a vehicle.
## Steps to reproduce
I have handed a copy of a test vehicle I made for this to Drake. If anyone else wishes to test and debug this contact me: Bellimora Bellisserian
Step 1:
1) Go to: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Xanthorhoe/125/253/32
2) Rez "Olaera - 2012 Creme BTI mod v0.19 Modified for Testing"
-This vehicle is modified to inform you when the number of links has changed, watch local chat
3) Get in, it's like most cars, arrow keys drive, jump/crouch controls gearage
4) That landmark I gave you is the beginning of route 5 on Heterocera, start driving along it
5) Travel at least as far as Gibossa
Gibossa at the time of this writing was particularly good at triggering a very bad region crossing on alchemy build 145x. A few other regions were rougher then other viewers. Your vehicle will likely ask for permission to take controls at that point.
Once you have experienced a long drive like this install Alchemy 1401 or use black dragon viewer or some other veiwer and try the same drive. It will behave a lot smoother.
## What is the current bug behavior?
Slow rough region crossings with your vehicle occasionally attempting to ask for controls, your vehicle will trigger a "CHANGED_LINK" Event often on changed()
## What is the expected correct behavior?
See viewer 1401 behavoir for proper region crossings

I cannot reset it via preferences because I can't even navigate the preference menu. Worse, uninstalling and reinstalling just simply brings back the same menu and preferences as they were. I have attempted to remove every file I could locate related to Alchemy and cannot find the folder or file causing this. If someone could advise me on how to simply remove everything related to Alchemy viewer so I could start over, I'd appreciate it.https://git.alchemyviewer.org/alchemy-archive/alchemy/-/issues/130No way to set the "away timeout" time2021-06-27T13:09:02-04:00phdionNo way to set the "away timeout" time## Summary

The colors are incorrect with some hardware.
## Steps to reproduce
Simply start the viewer using the hardware below (since it doesn't happen on my desktop with a different hardware)
## What is the current bug behavior?
One of the primary colors (i think it's red) is completely absent in the viewer on everywhere. (UI, 3D, etc, see the screenshot below) Note that only alchemy has this problem. Everything is fine on other programs.
## What is the expected correct behavior?
The viewer should display all colors.

When the audio output device is disabled (such as the HDMI cable for my monitor which is routed through my amp going into sleep mode) alchemy will go use a different sound device and it can be difficult to get it back on the one you wanted.
Note: Drake mentioned adding a audio source selector to alchemy which would alleviate this.
## Steps to reproduce
1) Have more then one audio output device on your computer.
2) Run alchemy, verify there is sound.
3) Disable your primary sound device.
4) Enable your primary sound device.
5) Check if there is sound on alchemy.
## What is the current bug behavior?
There will be no sound from alchemy at this point. I've managed to force sound back on the proper device by disabling every input device, but it messes some other stuff I got going up because they are using VAC.
## What is the expected correct behavior?
Alchemy stays on the current audio device and continues to produce noise. I can run VLC on a constant stream at the same time and if I disable sound, it just hops to the currently primary audio device and back. So I know other programs handle this sort of hiccup smoothly.

Objects well beyond draw distance cast shadows on the scene. My testing suggests this MIGHT be draw distance 2x but I can't be sure without more tests.
This is an ancient bug which predates EEP. I just keep forgetting about it until it happens to me and then I'm miffed.
This exists in non-alchemy viewers as well.
## Steps to reproduce
1. Go to a clear open sim where you have rez rights at elevation 0.
2. Set windlight to noon.
3. Set draw distance to 256
4. Fly
5. /gth 500
6. Rez a 64 x 64 platform at your position
7. /gth 0
8. You are now in the shadow of a platform 500 meters above you.
9. Set draw distance slightly closer, I used 224 because it was the next pip on the graphics slider.
10. The shadow is now gone.
## What is the current bug behavior?
See description
## What is the expected correct behavior?
Objects 256 meters away should be casting shadows only.
